Services
The practice is committed to providing a service which will meet the detailed and unique requirements of the designer and client and we believe in working closely with the design team and client to deliver the project successfully.
Our service corresponds to the RICS’s Standard Form of Agreement for the Appointment of a Quantity Surveyor. Individual aspects of each stage are fully defined in this Agreement. Specific requirements for a project are negotiated individually.
In addition to the traditional Quantity Surveying services we also provide the following:
CDM Coordinator
Acting as the Client’s key project advisor in respect of construction health and safety risk management and managing the flow of health and safety information between clients, designers and contractors.
Construction Management
Advice on all aspects of the construction process from inception to completion.
Cost Management
Rigorous procedures will ensure that costs are contained within the agreed project budget giving the client certainty of outcome on cost and up to date knowledge of the financial status whenever it is required.
Dispute Resolution
Advice on procedures and actions to progress, clarify and resolve contractual and commercial issues.
Employer’s Agent
For many clients the ‘design and build’ approach provides a low risk, cost effective and bespoke solution. We can provide the one stop service from the initial feasibility study, defining the employer’s requirements and monitoring during the construction process.
Funding/Grant Procurement
Many projects involve external funding from one or more bodies. This may include banks, lottery funds or government backed funding organisations. The practice has considerable experience of negotiating and liaising with these organisations.
Funder’s Representative
We can also provide a clear and concise independent service to the funding organisation. Our service may be an initial project appraisal or may encompass monitoring the project from inception to completion.
Life Cycle Costing
Consideration of whole life costs at the planning stage can significantly enhance the value of the capital asset. We can advise on the costs-in-use implications of particular design options.
Project Management
Effective project management is the key to a project’s success. We can provide a client with a clear, concise, customer focused and efficient service.
Project Planning
By planning, monitoring and re-appraising throughout the project we can manage delivery within time constraints to ensure the project team is well informed at all times.
Risk Management
Through on-going identification, evaluation and mitigation of risk we can reduce the likelihood of unforeseen factors impacting on the project.
Value Engineering
The early involvement of this strategy can be of great benefit to the project by achieving the maximum cost effectiveness from initial concept to detail design.
